Other than the arch and the Cardinals, the
Anheuser-Busch brewery is quintessential St. Louis! Those
three things really define the city. The steel and concrete of
the arch has proven to withstand the elements, the Cards have a huge
fan base and a great ownership group so they are going to stay put
for the foreseeable future. However, the brewery might be in
danger. Since 1852 they've been cranking out Budweiser
products here (minus some "change in product" during Prohibition),
but all that seems to be slowly dwindling since the InBev buyout.
That being the case we wanted to make
sure that we took the free tour on this trip before they stop doing
it! As you can see the buildings on the tour are very historic
and impressive! |
