As the crown jewel of St. Louis' famous
Forest Park, the zoo is constantly rated as one of the top in the
nation. And, even better, it is tax supported and is free to
visitors, The sheer size and
diversity of exhibits provided us with a full six hours of
entertainment which is quite a bit for a zoo! They have a good

plan your visit.
We entered from the south parking lot
and hit the River's Edge area which is very well landscaped and full
of cool animals including the elephants. This guy seemed to be
modeling for us for a few minutes before going about his business
