Everyone's first thought about the Tampa
Bay area is beaches. And rightfully so! They are
beautiful--wide expanses of white sand, gentle waves and plenty of
sunshine. However in early March they can be bit cool and
since this trip was mainly a business trip, this is as far onto the
beach I got. This is actually
the beach connected to the
Tradewinds Resort (where my conference was held) in the little
beach community of St. Pete Beach. The hotel is a bit quaint
for a "conference hotel" and has been renovated but is very
well-manicured. St. Pete Beach is located on the Gulf of
Mexico and is a true beach community with a bit slower pace than Tampa
or St. Petersburg and a lot of expensive property. |
