It all started rather innocently. Our son had some money saved up and we worked with him to get something worthwhile. I had been wanting to learn how to shoot and produce video but didn’t know how to go about the latter. Then a friend showed me her daughter’s summer trip video shot (and edited) with GoPro and GoPro Studio. Drew and I got together and split the cost of a GoPro Hero 5 Black. The rest is history. We get better each time we go out!

Bend, Oregon – Sep 2018
We headed out with our awesome adventure friends, Brian and Abby, to spend the better part of a week in Bend, OR. After spending a day there a year before, we knew we needed to come back and to bring them with us–so much to do outside, so many great places to hang out! We hiked, kayaked, mountain biked, drank craft beer, ate good food and basically just enjoyed life (and our temporary reprieve from kids)!
Utah – Mar 2018
Our annual Spring Break trip took us to southeast Utah and into some beautiful country. We trekked across New Mexico hitting Tent Rocks, Santa Fe, and Chaco Canyon before crossing the Four Corners and into Utah’s beautiful backcountry. We spent plenty of time off-road as we headed through Natural Bridges, parts of Escalate, through Capitol Reef to Arches and Canyonlands.
Oregon & N. California (INTRO) – Aug 2018
Our family decided a trip to the Pacific Northwest was overdue. With about a year’s worth of planning we decided to start in Portland and make our way down the Oregon and northern California coast to the redwoods and then cut inland to the Cascades and work our way back up to the Columbia River Gorge all over a 2 week period.
Oregon & N. California (FULL) – Aug 2018

Katy Trail – Oct 2017
Four years ago we started an adventure to ride our bikes over all 237.7 miles of the Katy Trail across Missouri. The converted rail-trail takes you through some beautiful scenery along the Missouri River and through the heart of Missouri’s wine country. We took the GoPro along for our final trip on the trail which included a ride from Jefferson City to Hermann, a train trip to Sedalia, and then a ride down the final segment to Clinton.
Buffalo River Trail – May 2017
Drew’s first backpacking trip! We decided to do a weekend on the BRT starting at the South Boxley Trailhead, going through Ponca and Steel Creek and ending at the Kyle’s Landing Trailhead.
New Mexico & Arizona – Mar 2017
Our family decided to drive to Phoenix and hit parks along the way coming and going! We started with Carlsbad Caverns, Guadalupe Mountains, White Sands, and Chiricahua, spent some time in Phoenix, and then picked up Montezuma Castle/Well, Sunset Crater, El Moro, & El Malpais on way home.
Hemmed In Hollow Falls – Feb 2017
Our new GoPro arrived the week before so we figured we’d try our hand at video shooting and editing. It’s rough, but has real gems for our first try!
