For several years now, we'd talked with
our good friend Judy (an avid baseball fan) about going to see
Springfield Cardinals games at the other parks around the Texas
League. Home to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Arvest Ballpark was the first stop on our tour of Texas League ballparks. We found a weekend night game in early August when the Cards would be in Fayetteville and made the trip. (Actually we spent the whole day in the area checking out the sites. Click here for that slideshow.) Arvest Ballpark was finished in time for this season and is actually located in the town of Springdale, just outside of Fayetteville. |
