This is the view of the stadium from the
Arch. You can see the old stadium to the right. For a
while this was a great view of the side-by-side
construction.
The hole was filled in when the team
hosted the 2009 All-Star Game. Originally the Cardinals and
The Cordish
Company (PowerPlant Live at Camden Yards, Kansas City Power &
Light District) was going to develop a mixed-use and entertainment
center there but the Missouri Legislature has been unwilling to
approve needed incentives and St. Louis leadership has messed things
up over and over and the development has yet to happen.
The new stadium seats 46,000 which is
about 3,000 less than the previous facility. |
