The ballpark is located in a redevelopment
area not too far from the 18,000 seat Alltel Arena (built in 1999)
in North Little Rock. There's a historic district, called the
Argenta District, with several bars and restaurants just a block or
two from the stadium.
It's just north of the Arkansas River
from downtown Little Rock and there are several bridges connecting
the two as well as a historic trolley system.
This is the front of the park with a
large but rather empty plaza area. Some nice decorations,
statues, plantings, something, would have made this area a little
less stark. Either way the clock tower and the red brick
exterior are attractive. |
