This is the entrance in center field and
is right on the corner of the intersection of Elgin and Archer.
Parking is "free market" and private surface lots in the area
abound. We parked a block and a half down Elgin for only $5.
Not bad at all! We walked
across some railroad tracks that carried freight trains during the
game. Things like this and the raised Crosstown Expressway
(I-244) adjacent to the left field line and lots of brick buildings
adjoining the park helped add to the urban feel of the field.
The name of the ballpark is
pronounced ONE·oak Field as ONEOK Inc (a Fortune 200 corporation
focused in natural gas distribution) bought the naming rights. |
