Though there was a lot of name recognition
with Candlestick Park, the old municipal style stadium doesn't hold a
candle to neo-traditional style facility, SBC Park. Built as Pac Bell park the name recently changed through the re-branding efforts of the parent company SBC. The park is located in an area of San Francisco in need of a bit of revitalization but not too far from the area around the Moscone Convention Center. Strategically located palm trees add a bit of unique flavor to the stadium as you can see in the plaza area near the main entrance. |
