Of the parks we went to see Phoenix
Municipal Stadium had the most character. Now, character
doesn't always translate into a great experience, but nonetheless it
was certainly one-of-a-kind.
Originally built in 1964 it was renovated in 2003 but mainly to the
press box, dugouts and only a few guest features.
It is the spring training home of the
Oakland Athletics. We decided to go a see a game there based
on some online recommendations and because the Kansas City Royals
were playing Oakland that day. (Not that we are diehard Royals
fans, but hey, they are from Missouri, so we'll route 'em on!)
