At about a half mile the trail drops down
to Steel Creek and follows it for a bit, across a utility clearing
and to a point where you have to cross the creek. I've read in
the guidebooks that in rainy weather this can be a pretty wet
crossing. They area had had a decent rain about a week before,
so the creek had water, but crossing it was just a series of hopping
on the right rocks. The creek
was very pretty and the water was just as clear as it could be.
For no reason we just seemed to linger here a moment enjoying the
water, the rocks, the whole scene. Certainly worth a pause! |
