Hawksbill Crag - Buffalo River (collective)

The trail out to the Crag is a great trail.  It is 1½ miles from the trailhead to the Crag and usually takes about 30 minutes out and 45 minutes back.

The first third of it is down hill, the second is predominantly flat (both sections are in the forested area shown), and the final third hugs the bluff line all the way to Hawksbill.  It is a great trail for beginner Buffalo hikers, and for those of you who remember hearing about it, this is the hike where six year old Haley Zega got lost for three days in the spring of 2000.  Click here for more info.
