Hemmed-In Hollow, Buffalo River (May, 2001)

Hemmed-In Falls is the largest waterfall between the Rockies and the Appalachians--177 feet.  The flow can vary from crashing to drops blowing in the wind as they tumble down.  In the photo you can see the ribbon of water taking the plunge on this day.

Don't let this view deceive you--I shot this looking through the tree.  I am standing only 10 feet from it, but about 50 feet from the base of the falls and, like I mentioned, 177 from the top.
