Hideout Hollow, Buffalo River (January, 2009)

We stood there and enjoyed the view but just short bit up the bluff line of Hideout Hollow was the main attraction.

As you reach the spot this is the view you are presented with.  Looking around for a few seconds you are at a bit of a loss as to how to get down the bluff line to get underneath and get a good view of the falls and check out the "cave".

On the opposite side of the falls is a smaller overhang you have to crouch down and waddle though to get to a shaky pile of rocks that serve as steps.  It take a bit of nerve to take that first step down.

Here's another shot of the area off of Panoramio taken from the top of the falls during leaf-on.  The "walk-down" is nearly in the dead center of the photo.
