We hopped in the canoes after lunch, went
around the bend and then pulled out on the river left (at a tricky
and crowded spot) to make the 1 mile trek up to Hemmed-In Hollow
Falls. The girls, decided to stay with the boats and rest.
Frankly I wanted to get up and move and generate some body heat!
The falls were flowing pretty nicely.

For those who don't know the Falls
are certainly a side trip worth taking when floating this section.
It is the largest waterfall between the Rockies and Appalachians at
209 feet tall. |
