Round Top Mountain, Buffalo River (October, 2009)

 
As we reached the top we took a short trail to the left that heads to the end of the mountain (which is oblong shaped) called South Gap.  There is a little clearing here and some great views.  The split rail fence is a nice feature and the exposed rock created a perfect place to chill out and have some lunch.  We hadn't been hiking long but it is a great place to enjoy for a while so we did just that.

This is one of the spots where you encounter a grove of pine trees.  These are always neat areas and I really enjoy the variety the provide in the forest.
