Tim Childs, the owner of Cliffhangers,
was the one running the show that day. Aside from being a
climber Tim was a good teacher and worked great with beginning
climbers. He knew exactly where to go to find the right
climbs! All I can tell you is
how to get to the Sam's Throne area. Take 123 south for 3-4
miles. After you complete the steep switchbacks, and head
around some large, sweeping, "mountainesque" curves look to the
right for a turn off that heads into a rough (dirt) parking lot with
lots of campsites. Click
