Roaring River State Park (Cassville, Missouri)

Roaring River is created out of a spring that supplies 20 million gallons of water per day, enough to furnish the entire hatchery operation year round.  (For comparison, the largest spring in Missouri, Big Spring, pumps 283 million gallons a day.)

The bluff line the spring comes out of is quite impressive and a very interesting area.  A short but steep trail leads up above it.

Falling down through the center of the crack in the bluff and landing in the pool created by the spring is a small waterfall.  Click here to see a cool photo of it.
