Jacks Fork, Buck Hollow to Ebb and Flow Spring (June, 2008)

A free Saturday in June cannot be wasted.  So we were certainly not going to let that happen!

We made plans with Brent and Taylor to float his favorite section of river--the upper parts of the Jacks Fork in the Ozarks National Scenic Riverways.  The Jacks is the southern branch of the Current River and is protected in the National Parks System.

Our intent for the day was to float the 9 miles from Buck Hollow (Highway 17 bridge) to a little-known take-out at Ebb and Flow Spring.  We dropped the boats and the ladies off at Buck Hollow and drove to the take-out to drop one of the vehicles and headed back.  All this along with the slightly less than 2 hour drive from Springfield had us on the water before 11am.
