The image is the best one I could find to illustrate what happens at
night. (Rafting trips take off to the left of what you see in
this photo.) The dam (photo's
left) stops the river flow. During rafting periods control
release of water allows the river to run it's normal course.
But when the control is shut off, the river water from above the dam
is diverted into the log flume (photo's right). The water
speeds down this flume faster than the river and the pours over the
generators at the next damn making electricity. To find out
