We really lucked out with the weather.
It had been cold and rainy just a few days before we arrived but the
3+ days we were in Phoenix it was in the upper 70s or low 80s and
sunny each day. We arrived
late, late Friday night and Mel was dealing with some bug that had
her up doing bad things all night. We had booked a Radisson in
Chandler through Priceline and took it easy the next morning to let
her try to start feeling better.
Our mission was to get up each
morning and go hike a mountain like the red rocks shown here.
Then back to the hotel, clean up and head to a ball game starting at
1pm grabbing lunch there. Then we'd bum around until dinner
and eat at a fantastic dinner spot. The plan worked like a
charm! |
