Arizona Snowbowl, Flagstaff (March, 2010)

If you come to Snowbowl expecting a Copper or Breckenridge you'll be disappointed.  However, the more attainable scale and lower crowds makes the place awesome!  The lifts aren't super fast, but they are nice.  The lodges (like the Agassiz pictured here) are not lavish, but they are cozy and inviting.  The runs aren't super long but they were challenging and provided us 2 full days of fun for a lot less cost.  (Lift tickets, gear rental and food was $60 per person per day.)

The weather is what made it perfect though!  Both days were sunny and in the low 50s!  We had a base layer and a t-shirt on.  The snow froze at night but was "hero snow" (slushy and soft) by mid-afternoon. It was perfect for skiing...no biting cold to ruin it and a nice sunburn to boot!
