When I would tell someone we were going
skiing I'd get usually get a funny look. Clearly those
flatlanders not familiar with the concept of elevation. The
peak you see here is actually the highest point in Arizona at just
over 12,500 feet above sea level. So granted the skiing is
right next to the highest point, but it is still great skiing in
Arizona! The location I'm
talking is
Arizona Snowbowl and we were lucky enough to spend 2 days there
skiing towards the end of what had been one of their best seasons
with over 320" of snowfall (5 feet more than their average).

route. We spent an hour or so warming up on this one. |
