After we shook the cobwebs loose from 7
years away from the slopes we headed up the Sunset Triple Chairlift
to tackle some more intermediate routes. The views up the lift
are awesome if you can take your eyes off action going on below in
the terrain park. Snowbowl has
4 chairlifts (2 in the beginner areas), the one shown here to more
moderate routes and then a longer lift up to the top.
The overall trail breakdown is 37%
beginner, 42% intermediate, and 21% advanced. We spent the
rest of the day running Southern Belle and North Star. North
Star was our favorite in the area with a gentle start the led to a
tight spot where, from above, the trail looks like it just dumps off
the whole mountainside. Pause and then go for it!! |
