Mormon Mountain - Flagstaff, AZ (September, 2002)

Fall was on its way as you could tell by the few yellow leaves.

All in all the hike was good, tough but good.  The elevation was a bit of a challenge (especially for us "low-landers") and the elevation change made for frequent stops on the way up.

The scenery is great, the trail was in good shape, and though we did it mid-week there was no one else on the trail but us.

Had the lake been full it would have been a great hike.  (Another fact about the "lake"--the Forest Service claims it is the largest natural lake in Arizona.  Go figure.)
