Not far from that bluff is the trail end.
You can walk right out onto a gravel bar and look as far up stream as
you can this is what you'll see.
More or less a slot canyon with no dry route around it, we decided it
was time to get wet...and cold. (The water is a very chilly,
probably around 60º.)
I mentioned before, the canyon is 14
miles and the trail is 3 of that. The other 11 can be hiked by
following the creek and sloshing through this type of slot canyon,
maneuvering over boulders, and maybe even swimming in places.
