Owner Michael Topolos knows just about
everything there is to know about growing grapes...the soil, the
weather, the vines and everything else, most of which is more
intuition than precision. He was
very informative and showed us just about everything we could imagine
about a winery.
This is a bundle of young vines he had
just received.
One of the more enjoyable things about
the winery is that they don't have the same pretentious attitude you
find in a lot of wineries and wine countries. Case and point,
Topolos bottles a separate label just to have a little fun with wine
called Stu Pedasso. (You figure it out.) The label shows a
portrait of a goofy old fart drinking and tells a wild story about
the winery. |
