The reason we visited Dalian is to see
Missouri State’s branch campus, housed on the campus of Liaoning
Normal University. LNU is a mid-sized university and it did not have
a good business school. So, the relationship with MSU was a natural
since MSU has the largest business school in the state. Just like
the branch campuses in West Plains and Mountain Grove (MO) the
Dalian campus will have nearly 700 students enrolled in the upcoming
fall semester, most from China but some from Korea, Mongolia, and
even Africa. These students can get a 2-year Associates degree and
then transfer to MSU-Springfield or get a General Business BS
degree. The LNU campus is impressive as the presence MSU has
established there. They also have relationships in several Chinese
universities. |
