Area Towns - Winter Park, Colorado (Sept. 2001)

By far the coolest place we went was Breckenridge.  Though it appeared rather uppity and trendy, we found plenty of good restaurants (bar & grill type) with reasonably price food, shops that didn't sell junk, the cheapest priced clothing we'd seen.  It is definitely geared toward the tourist.  Clean and well-dressed.

On the way to Breckenridge (from I-70) you go through Frisco.  It appeared to be neat also, but with a bit more "services."  They had a Wal-Mart (not a Supercenter).
