Right outside of The Peabody is Autozone
Ballpark--home of the Memphis Redbirds. The Redbirds are the St.
Louis Cardinals AAA farm club. They relocated there a few years
ago from Louisville, and I'm sure the fantastic stadium had to have
something to do with the decision. It is a nice new stadium built in the current trend of the neo-traditional style, modeling after such classics as Wrigley, Camden Yards, and The Polo Grounds. The Redbirds were out of town so instead of taking in the sites, sounds, and excitement of a game all we could do was just look around. |
