Another famous area in San Diego is La
Jolla (pronounced Hoya, for all you non-Spanish people). We
weren't too impressed with La Jolla--the beaches and the homes were
better on Coronado, the restaurants were pricey not all that
spectacular. However, it did have some beautiful sea cliffs and
this beach with tons of seals. The first night we landed in San Diego we had to get to the beach so we headed to La Jolla. Very nice place to spend an evening enjoying the ocean.
