The other trick we discovered was going at
night. The beach was much less crowded, the temperature cooler
and the cabana nazis were gone...plus the sunsets can be
spectacular! St. Pete's Beach Park has some nice amenities like bathrooms, showers, rental cabanas and the like. The sand is nice and fine and beaches are very clean. Parking is $1.25/hr and can be paid by credit card.
