La Verkin Creek Trail, Zion National Park, UT (May, 2005)

This is one of the numerous crossing on Timber Creek.  The map indicates that it is an intermittent stream so it can't be counted on as a water source in the summer and fall.  But in the spring, each crossing is very scenic.

The trail starts at the Lee Pass Trailhead and runs about 1 mile down to Timber Creek then along the creek for another mile or two.  From there it goes up and over a point and down to La Verkin Creek.  Total distance to the Kolob Arch Trail / Hop Valley Trail is 6½ miles and the whole trail doesn't have too much of a severe elevation change.
