After the Pulltite Access most of the
canoes that had been on the river exited. (Thank goodness!)
Though it wasn't
quite
Niangua-on-a-weekend type traffic, we had hoped for fewer people
since we started on a weekday morning. But, I will say that
most of those on the river were out there for the right reasons and
not being obnoxious. Also just
after the Pulltite Access is Pulltite Spring which pumps 30 million
gallons per day into the Current River and several other springs
(some visible on the river right) such as Fire Hydrant Spring.
All of these make up the Pulltite Spring Complex and together they
discharge 144 million
gallons per day which really increases the volume of the
river at this point. |
