We decided to begin at Rocheport which is
a great trailhead, especially for an ending spot.
It is a quaint little river town of a
few hundred people nestled into a valley on the river.
The trail has been great to Rocheport
and added an amenity to the town's tourism draw and added a steady
stream of visitors to take advantage of what is there.
Several shops, bed and breakfasts, a
winery, a few restaurants, a bike rental shop and even a river
floating outfitter make it a great place to spend a few hours or a
whole weekend.
Pictured here is the Trailside Cafe
and Bike Rental Shop and it is right on the trailhead parking lot. |
