Let me tell you, we were a bit disappointed to find the Mormon Lake was nothing more than "Mormon Meadows."  Apparently the recent years of drought have dried the lake up--completely.

The USFS website even showed a pretty picture of the lake (click here to see it), so on our return we emailed the local  office there and they actually made a change to the website to reflect the situation.  Check it and the trail description out by clicking here.
