As I mentioned, a break from the desert and
the picturesque lake were two reasons we did this hike. The
other reason was to see some aspens. We both think they are such
beautiful trees and neither of us have lived near them. At least in this aspect we weren't disappointed. A little over half way up the mountain we discovered several groves. They kept getting thicker and thicker as we headed up. This grove was just too inviting and was where we stopped to have lunch and enjoy the great weather for a while. |
