Sedona, Arizona (September, 2002)

Oak Creek is as much a center point of the natural beauty as the red rocks are.  The creek starts up near Flagstaff and really begins when the West Fork joins in.  (More photos in that slideshow).

The stream flows year-round and though it never takes a large drop over any falls it tumbles the whole length through beautiful valleys and provides plenty of spots to enjoy.  This shot here is at the south end of Slide Rock State Park.

The creek forms Oak Creek Canyon that produces some spectacular scenery.  The locals have taken steps to make sure development doesn't encroach on it either.
