I mentioned the Zhengzhou "New District".  That area is a completely new development to be added to the city over the next 20 years that will add over 2 million people to the population.  It is the city's full-scale, economic development initiative.  The plan to create investment zones, business districts and housing areas, all linked by roads and rail and situated right next to the airport.

This is only a small part of a huge model that was created to show the layout of the New District.  In the top right is the circular "Central Business District" that is under construction now and will ultimately include 30 skyscrapers, an 800,000 sqft art center, and a convention center with over 1 million sqft.  Click here for an impressive shot of its foyer.
