A few block off of Independence Mall and a
bit past the Philadelphia Mint and Ben Franklin's grave is the home of
revolutionary widow Betsy Ross. This home holds the lead claim as the birthplace of the American Flag. Either way Betsy Ross has been elevated to a position of relevance as an early female leader and a small museum and courtyard have been situated next to the Ross home. |
