The trail is about 2 miles in and 2 out.
It starts low and heads up hill several hundred feet....somewhere
around 5 or 6 hundred. It then heads back down hill and you
catch a view of the oasis in the distance. (Look really close in
the middle of the photo....you'll see a cluster of palm trees.) The trail offers no shade but is pretty well marked and well worn. The desert sun can be harsh, but a constant breeze that day helped cool things down rather nicely. Click here for a shot of the oasis as you get closer. |
