I would highly recommend taking in dinner (and the experience) at an Italian place called Buca di Beppo's.  It is outstanding southern Italian food.  They are very specific about the southern part..."lots of red sauces, olive oil and garlic."  Bring it on!  =)

It is served family-style with HUGE portions.  For example their pizza crusts start out measuring 1 foot by 2 feet.  And the experience I mentioned includes a kitchen tour on the way to your seat, an introduction to the chef, and if you get your reservation a few weeks in advance, an actual table in the kitchen where you approve all the food that goes out!
