We've been hiking in the area surrounding the Buffalo National River for a dozen years now.  If you haven't been to woods of northern Arkansas you are in for a whole new look at the landscape of the Ozarks.  The streams, the trees, the rock formations, the river itself--they all combine to present you with an exceptional outdoor experience 2 hours from Springfield and without a lot of crowds.
